Emily Fisher is the online editor for Oceana, the international ocean conservation organization. Originally from North Carolina, she holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. A lifelong environmentalist, through her work at Oceana, Emily has also become a passionate advocate for the oceans. During her 2+ years at Oceana, she has written about the many threats facing the ocean -- from ocean acidification to shark finning to bottom trawling -- for the organization’s website , blog, and quarterly magazine.
