Johnny Gibbons is the press secretary for science at the Smithsonian Institution, promoting science and research across the Institution to the media and public. He started working at the Smithsonian in 2004, as a science writer and spokesperson for Smithsonian’s National Zoo. He came to his present position in 2008. His degrees are in ornithology and journalism. When he’s not at work, chances are good that he’s out with his binoculars looking at birds.
